Access to Work

Access to Work (AtW) is a government programme that provides financial support to people with disabilities or health conditions, helping them stay in or get back into work. It can fund a variety of workplace adjustments, services, and tools aimed at overcoming barriers related to disabilities, including both physical and mental health challenges.

How can Access to Work support me?

If you have a disability, mental health condition, or neurodivergent needs (like autism, ADHD, or anxiety), Access to Work can provide tailored support.

This might include:

  • Funding for specialist equipment that helps you perform your job tasks more comfortably.

  • Support workers or coaches who can assist with daily tasks and help you manage stress or improve focus.

  • Adaptations in your workplace that make it easier for you to thrive, not just survive, whether that’s at home or in an office setting.

Am I eligible for Access to Work?

You might be eligible for Access to Work funding if:

  • You have a condition that affects your ability to do your job.

  • You are in paid work or about to start a job (including self-employment!)

  • Your condition could benefit from adjustments that support your work environment.

Can I access your services funded by Access to Work?

All of the 1 to 1 support services I offer, such as productivity coaching and the Mallard membership, should be able to be funded through Access to Work. This means you can get the guidance you need without the financial burden. Whether you need help with stress management, improving focus, or navigating challenges in your work life, AtW can assist you in accessing these vital resources.

How do I apply for Access to Work funding?

You can start your application on the UK government's Access to Work page, where you'll find all the information needed to begin the process. An assessment will usually follow to determine the support that's best for you.
